Favourite or Preferred Choice

One type of question that I always fail to answer or the question that forces me to think a lot is, “ what is your favorite  …….?” Be it color/dress/food/destination any of the favorite’s, these are all very difficult for me to answer. While I was trying to answer one such question today I suddenly said I don’t have favorite’s but have preferred choices though, and as I spoke the words I knew this is going to be my inspiration for today’s blog. All most of all of us have our favorites and its ok to have one, but these favorite’s shouldn’t be your addictions. When I said I don’t have favorite’s I relayed that I actually didn’t have any endearments to materialistic things in life, which actually made me feel nice. This thought helped me link endearments and addictions to it and how it was good to not have any of them.

Did you ever look at the word favorite as a synonym to materialism or endearments. Look back to your favorite’s now and check it for yourself that “these are not becoming your addictions or endearments”.

While I see no harm in having favorite’s but it’s good to have preferred choices as they teach us to do comparisons, analysis and have deep reviews. While they keep us away from addictions they teach us to acknowledge the value of one over the other and help us justify and clarify our thought processes.

So what is your choice now? Favorite? Or Preferred?
